Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes. Names on tickets are not a required part for entry to the festival.
Can I take in my own food and drink to HBMF?
Picnics are encouraged on Thursday 2nd July for Prom Night. For all other dates, no, you cannot take in any food or drink. There is a large variety of food and drink facilities within the festival.
Can I bring a water bottle into HBMF?
Yes, attendees can bring their own reusable water bottles into the festival. These must be no larger than 500ml and must not be metal.
Are there any non-alcoholic options?
Yes, there are non-alcoholic options of beer, cider and prosecco. We also sell soft drinks.
What do you do to make the festival safe?
The safety of everyone on site is our primary concern. We have a zero-tolerance policy to violence of any sort including sexual harassment and sexual assault. If you experience or witness sexual harassment or sexual assault at HBMF, please report it to our Security Team, who are located all over the site including in the Main Tent. We are very proud of our good safety record at HBMF, and work continually with the local council and the police to make sure it remains a fun, safe event for all of us to enjoy. We are proudly offering this year all attendees a lid for their pint cup as part of Sussex Police's anti-spiking campaign.
Where can I collect any lost property on the night and after the event?
Go to the entrance tent on the night or email [email protected] after the event.
Can I bring sun cream into HBMF?
Yes, sun cream or lotion sized at 200ml or less in original containers is allowed. Vape liquid and eye drops in standard plastic 10ml containers will also be allowed, but contents may be tested on arrival.
What is on the prohibited item list?
Prohibited list as provided by Titanium Security. Items prohibited from the site:
- Drugs (including marijuana). If found, this will be recorded via Control and dealt with as discussed with the Police.
- Weapons. Serious consideration will be given to refusing entry to persons found carrying weapons.
- Any firearms (including pepper spray).
- Professional video equipment (we do not store or retain these items; they remain the guest's responsibility).
- Fireworks or pyrotechnics.
- Flares.
- Animals.
- Generators.
- Sound systems (excluding small personal systems).
- Spray paint.
- Barbecue equipment and fuel.
- Calor Gas or equivalent.
- Alcoholic beverages.

Can I come to HBMF if I am under 18?
No, unfortunately all attendees have to be 18 or over to attend HBMF, except for the Sunday Family Funday (Country).
Can I smoke or vape at HBMF?
The same regulations apply at HBMF as the rest of the country: you can smoke and vape in the open-air areas but not inside the big top or any other tents. Look out for the 'no smoking' signs.
When can I arrive/leave by?
HBMF gates open:
Thursday 2nd, Prom Night: 17:00-23:00
Friday 3rd, Club Classic: 17:00-23:00
Saturday 4th, Hastings Beer and Music Festival: 12:00-23:00
Sunday 5th, Family Funday (Country): 12:00-21:30
Is there a last entry time?
No, there isn't a last entry time. However, if you are coming later, keep in mind that parking locally will be limited later on.
Can I bring drugs to HBMF?
No, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards drugs, and anyone caught with them will be ejected from the site and presented to the police.
If I leave HBMF can I get back in?
Yes, but make sure you get your hand stamped before you leave.
Can I buy official HBMF merchandise?
Yes, we will be selling a range of merchandise at the festival, or you can order online.
How do you pay for things at the festival?
All our bars have been cashless for a number of years. Some of the food vendors may take cash, but most will accept both cash and cashless options.
Are dogs allowed into the event?
No pets are allowed within the event site. Assistance dogs will be permitted.
Can I bring a chair or other seat with me?
Chairs can be brought into HBMF on all days for use in outside areas. On Thursday 2nd, Prom Night, chairs are also allowed in the big tent. We will not be responsible for any chairs used in the HBMF arena including loss, theft or injury. If you require a chair for medical reasons, email [email protected] ahead of time and we will let security know at the gate.
I am disabled – can I have a companion ticket?
Tickets will be provided for companions or personal assistants for standard ticket holders who require additional assistance, at no additional cost.
Please be prepared to present the relevant documentation to support your ticket request. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Examples of relevant documentation include: DLA (Disability Living Allowance), PIP (Personal Independence Payment), evidence of registered severely sight-impaired (blind), CredAbility Access Card (with +1 icon), copy of Attendance Allowance letter, recognised Assistance Dog ID card, or any other relevant documentation.
All documents provided must show your full name and be dated no older than 2023.

The above scheme and facilities are for customers with permanent or long-term access requirements and are not for people with temporary impairments such as broken bones, healing wounds, or people who are pregnant.
Personal Assistants attending through this scheme need to be 18 years old by the start of the festival.
